      Had a major depressive episode starting around January 2007 which caused me to quit my job, move home to NJ with my parents and seek treatment. Tried meds at first (hated them! tough side effects) but couldn't convince myself to take them for more than 2 weeks. Worked with a CBT therapist for 6 months and felt a return to my former self. Now experiencing relapse, as of last month (March 2008). Having trouble feeling productive at work. Dealing with boredom and loneliness.

      Treatments

      Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Working / Worked
      Worked with a therapist for about 6 months and my condition improved- felt my former self return. Learned how to identify my depression triggers- low blood sugar, lack of physical activity, social interactions perceived to have gone badly, etc.
