Thanks for the comforting thoughts. I feel much better and I have finally realized, it is out of my hands. There is nothing I can do! My husband had his 6 month check up and they did extensive tests this time. Everything came back so good. The doctors are really happy and think he will be fine. That's a relief in itself. How have you been feeling lately? I have been so caught up in baby stuff that is all I think about.

Thank You so much..Yes its very hard going threw all of this.....I am scared! Im so happy you are feeling relief ! Im a wimp about operations( Who is'nt ) I still have to wait till 7-22 to see a specialist ! But I have my regular Dr..I will have to bother him again for pain meds.................I cant wait to be pain free ! The pills dont help all that much,but they relieve the pain enough thats its tolerable !!!! I will keep you in my prayers ! Thank you for keeping me in yours ! Close Cystic Fibrosis
I underwent a major surgery called the Whipple's Procedure to correct a pancreatic problem. After which pathology revealed I had an autoimune disease cuase by a gene I have that cuases cystic fibrosis in my pancreas. I almost died from this and i have to live with whats left for the rest of my life. It could happen again. I am currently undergoing treatment and now have an anxiety problem.
Treatments
- Creon Working / Worked
- its not an excact science. I have to experiment with the dosage depending on what foods i eat. I find 4 pills works with most low fat meals.
- Pancrelipase Working / Worked
- its not an excact science. I have to experiment with the dosage depending on what foods i eat. I find 4 pills works with most low fat meals.
- Whipple Procedure Working / Worked
- Pancreas was chewed up pretty bad. Was praticly on my death bed. Got the procedure done on emergency surgery. Removed over a third of my pancreas and part of my stomach. Also had all my bile ducts removed and reworked. Was a loooooong recovery but so far so good. Still have the CF problem but is being treated aggressively with new medications
Close Pancreatitis
Started with Accute pancreatitis then my gallblader had to be removed. Liver levels went way high and i started throwing up green bile. I turned yellow and so did my eyes and I itched all over. I was upgraded soon after to chronic pancreatitis then it almost killed my and i had to go into a major surgery called the Whipples Procedure. Its been a rough 7 months of severe pain and sickness.
Treatments
- Levsin Not Working
- Tried it. for a while it seemed to work but then my pancreas got worse and the medication quite working.
- Pancrelipase Working / Worked
- the amount depends on what I eat but it seems to work.
- Whipple Procedure Working / Worked
- the surgery took most my pancreas. What was left is pretty chewed up. High hopes that it will heal now with treatments and soon i won't have to take insulin and digestive enzymes to survive. Pain is all gone and eating like a horse. Gained most of my weight back and am working again. still have a ways to go to revover but it deffinately saved my life.
