Hey all, hope everyone is doing good. I know it’s been a while since I’ve been on, let me see if I can catch you up on some……my grandma's birthday was Friday, she would've been 87.

Okay so let’s see the last thing I wrote was that my grandma has passed, well since then there has been so much going on. I have been so sick, got shingles again and just been in bed pretty much.

I saw a new doc last week, the GYN I have been seeing just up and left and didn’t tell his patients, which I don’t think is right, he wanted to do surgery on me and had I had it I would want to go back and see him. So I saw I guess a CNP and she is a Midwife also and she seems pretty thorough. She listened to all my questions, everything that has been going on and she things and wants to test me for PCOS. I have talked and asked all my docs about this for so long and no one would look into it. If it turns out that I do, well it would answer a lot of unanswered questions….for example, weight, hairloss, facial hair and other things. She said if I do have it they treat it with one of the following treatments: birth control, Lupron or Glucophage. Well I CANNOT take birth control, it causes migraines and I get enough on my own, and already on Lupron (which this will be my last month—on Friday or Saturday, boy it was a blessing not to have my menses these past five months, but I did get some of the symptoms….), so I go back in 2 months to get a full workup, I already got a bunch of bloodwork done, when I go back it will be no shorter then a 3hr appt because I have to fast and they will be checking for Diabetes (which I have never had), but this test will check every hour for 2-3hrs after having some juice and then a granola bar or something. I have never had a problem, but apparently this is one way they dx Diabetes. So we will see. She did it for 2mos because so the Lupron will be completely done and I will not see her anymore either, I will see the top doc in the office. She said that I am “very interesting”, I told her a lot of docs will not help me because they say “I’m too complex” and will not do anything. So it’s nice when docs listen and want to help. Of course I will keep you all posted.

So you know how I was taking Lyrica? Well I had stopped and started again and I weigh myself every night and it was like I was gaining 5lbs a day and that is NOT possible even if I was stuffing my face, which I don’t because I AM NEVER hungry. So stopped the Lyrica, and within a week I lost 12lbs….go figure. Well my Dr. House wants me to be on it also, but I started taking it again when I just got shingles again (about 3wks ago now) and I guess along with the Gabapentin it helps with that pain and I also use Lidocaine Patches, the Pharmacist said I can as long as none of it was open and that helps for a while.

It was such a treat yesterday, I called my sister in law to wish her a happy moms day and well my niece answered the phone (she is 6yrs old) and it was fun talking to her, then I got to talk to my nephew (he is 4)….I eat it up when I talk to them. Although I didn’t get to talk to my sis in law, she had a bad migraine, but asked my brother to pass it along.

Hubby has been going through a lot, so much going on and we are so frustrated. He wanted chicken on Saturday and asked me to go for a ride with him and I did, the place we were going was closed (very early) so we decided to go somewhere else and went thru the drive thru and he decides when we are next in line waiting to get to the window to turn the car off to “save some gas” and right when he turns it off the people in front of us get their food and then he goes to start the car and it won’t start. It wouldn’t turn over…..just picture it stuck in the drive thru. I was hurting bad and was just irritable. Cars kept coming behind us so we couldn’t move the car, he wanted to try to push it to the back of the restaurant. He wouldn’t call his dad and finally I made him give me the phone and I called, I wasn’t going to let us be stuck forever. It had already been some time. Finally no one behind us and I got in the drivers side and steered while he pushed and then a guy that ways going to go behind us but we were pushing, he came back and asked if we needed a jump and he did and then we were good and got home safe. It isn’t the battery. Always something…….
