I must quote something very offensive that was said to me today.
My husband works at Wendy's and I used to. When I used the car he usaully does and found some regular Wendy's T-shirts in it I thought nothing about letting some of the crew who didn't have one of those comfy shirts have one already. Scott had not been working and the magager there still was nice enough to let my friend Niki and I eat free. She was one of the ones asking for a T-shirt so I made sure to include one for her. These people did not already have one and I thought them promotional T-shirts like ones we had gotten before.
So any way today I mentioned to Scott that I had given just a couple of those T-shirts to the crew and in front of the kids in the car he said, and I quote... "WHy did you give away my fucking stuff!" Even though he didnt deserve a sorry I told him so then preceded to sit quietly with my eyes closed and cry silently and slowly. After just learning my grandfather could be dieing very soon AND HE is more concerned with taking out an issue on me about something stupid like 'Wendy's T-shirts'.
Tell me my friends, should I not have been appalled and upset?
Maybe once again I am just over reacting and being too breakable.

There is NEVER a reason to use that kind of language in front of kids and, speaking from the experience of hearing such things as a kid, there is NEVER a reason to put down your wife or husband in front of the kids. In this case, you are their mom and respect should be shown on his part.
There are obviously many dysfunctional psychological issues at play here. But I would encourage you to take situations like this and do what is best for your children. Though he would have probably not reacted favorably, an appropriate response would be, "if you have some issue, possibly we should discuss it in private where the kids don't have to listen to unfounded anger".
This is a volatile situation. Stand up for your rights and the rights of your kids. It would be ideal if you could both see a good counselor together if for no other reason than to learn how to interact around the kids.

Why a person can be so rude and selfish about something as simple as that, I don't know. No one deserves to be talked to like that, especially in front of children. I'm sorry to hear about your Grandfather. You done nothing wrong in my opinion. Hope things get better for you. @--/--
