About Me
I am single/divorced woman, with a grown daughter and 4 y.o. grandson. Spending time with them, and my son in law, is really my only joy/passion at this time - besides the work I do with my clients, as a youth counselor. I used to enjoy writing and traveling, but due to my sleep apnea - and resulting mental and physical fatigue- I don't do either of them anymore, accept traveling to visit my aging, and currently ailing mother 2-3 times a year, and occasionally writing in my journal.

Hi there! It is me again. (JoAnn) I wonder if the night time headaches could be due to low oxygen saturation while you sleep. I have to have 5 liters of oxygen with my BiPap machine. I was on 2 liters and I began getting these headaches. My doctor did an over night pulse oximeter sleep study. YOu do them right at home. It is that little thing that they put on your finger in the doctor office to measure your 02 and heart rate. It records while you are sleeping. Anyway...just a thought. Have a great day! JoAnn

I do understand; I feel this way too. But it is SOME better since I started using the CPAP. Although now there are a new set of problems. This is not something that I want to share with everyone, so it makes relationships hard. I'm praying that you find improvement in your overall health and feelings as you use the machine.

Close Sleep Apnea
Sleep problems for many years. Sleep study 2 years ago - dx w/Sleep Apnea. Tried a CPAP for a few months, but just couldn't get use to the noise and uncomfortableness, so returned it. After a year of increasing mental and physical fatigue, loss of concentration and alertness, and awful headaches, I have decided to try the CPAP again. I picked it up just last night. I am determined to make it work this time, because I just can't go on feeling like I do.
Treatments
Close Hypothyroidism
Use a CPAP mask for sleep apnea - it helps - less migraines. Then a few weeks ago the fatigue, foggy headedness and memory lapses returned - aagh!. Last March my GP had said my TSH was high but wanted to wait 6 months to retest prior to prescribing meds. Well, after feeling so crummy, I got on the intenet and found that many of my symptoms could be from hypothyroidism. Went to a neurologist - he said I did have hypoT, and prescribed Synthroid - started taking it two days ago.
