Aydansmom's Journal

Well, Aydan's potty training is coming along very slowly. But it's better than being at a standstill. He's had about 50 pairs of underwear since the first time he showed interest in using the potty. When he asked me for them this time, I was all for it! I put them on him, and he ran around the house in nothing but them. He must have felt free as a bird because he was very happy and excited to be in nothing but his Lighning McQueen and Mater "draws". Anyway, he did really good for 2 days. He would start to pee pee in his underwear and would stop himself and come running to me saying, "Uh Oh! I pee pee in floor, but iss awwight. I go pee pee potty." It's so funny the way he talks. Well, the 3rd day, he said he didn't want the underwear when I tried to put them on him. He said he wanted a diaper, so I put him in a pull-up. He just goes in it most of the time, but some days, he does really good and uses the potty instead of going in the pull-up for the majority of the day. I don't want to rush him. I'm just gonna let him do this at his own pace. He'll get it when he's ready.

On a different subject, we spent a good chunk of Saturday at my sister-in-laws house while my husband and his boss leveled a spot in their yard for a pool. Her kids are so funny playing guitar hero. I tried to play, but I suck. I am the most uncoordinated person......it was hilarious when I tried to do Aerobics. When we left we ended up sitting at Advance Auto for about 3 hours cuz the truck was having issues. It ended up being the fuel pump. It really sucked sitting in the heat for that long. I walked around the store with Aydan as much as possible to keep him out of the heat, but I finally ended up having to call my parents to come get him. But, on a brighter note, we added two new members to our family Saturday night! Two kittens, one black and white, a boy, and one calico, a girl (of course). We named them Rodney and Camille. Rodney because James wanted to name him Hot Rod, and I didn't, so we compromised. Camille because she has different colors like a chameleon. I added their pictures on here. They're already spoiled rotten. Well, that's all for now......
