Close Bipolar Disorder
I was diagnosed with bipolar a couple of years ago. I was going to a shrink but didn't think she was helping me - all she did was give me meds, really, and my GP agreed to do that. Plus, it was too expensive. Now that I'm out of work, getting treatment seems impossible.
Treatments
- Ativan Somewhat Helpful
- I was supposed to take it every day, but it made me so depressed. I decided to just take it when I was panicky and it does help some, although it takes more to "fix me" than it did originally.
- Elavil Somewhat Helpful
- Im currently taking this along with Paxil. It worked pretty well initially not so much anymore. It made me gain so much freaking weight. Im prescribed 50mg but I only take 25.
- Paxil Somewhat Helpful
- Im currently taking this along with Elavil. It worked pretty well along initially not so much anymore. I take 20mgs.
- Risperdal Working / Worked
- It worked pretty well, but was too expensive. I was taking it along with Paxil and Topamax. so it could have been the cocktail that was successful.
- Topamax Working / Worked
- It worked pretty well, but was too expensive. I was taking it along with Paxil and Risperdal. so it could have been the cocktail that was successful.
