Things are going very well. My Effexor is down to 2x75mg tablets a day now and the Adronax now 1/2 tablet. I have not felt so well in ages.

Tonight I caught up, sexually and otherwise with an old boyfriend. Well i guess you could call him that. I am still at his pplace now typing this on his computer while he cooks me dinner!!!

Woohoo!

I described my recent bouts of depression to him as being like walking around with a head cold for two years!!! I really do think my doctor had me on too much Effexor. Lightening the Effexor has been like taking a load off my head. I felt as if I was carrying the weight of the world and now I feel like I am skipping along on top of it.

I am going to wean myself completely off the Effexor. I am prepared for the fact that when I am medication free I may start suffering depression again and I may have resume a small dose of meds. My doc wants to try me on a different one.

The Ex has broadband. Is't it amazing. Now that I have speedily clicked my way through everyone's profiles and "huggled" my friends, check on The Aussie Group, and replied to a few emails (and you know I don't skimp on words) and writtten this journal and dinner is not even ready yet! I just HAVE to get broadband. There is no going back to my slow old dial up!!

Hey witti, I'm so pleased that your withdrawal of efexor is going well. Please (from experience) don't change too much more too quickly. Be sure your moods are fairly stable before you alter too much more cos you sure have come off them quickly.
I'm still on 75mg, but that is also for pain management...
I'm sooo happy that you're feeling good tho'

so glad to hear the good news. It is true that broadband is the only way to go. I attached some photos to an email I sent someone with dial up service and they told me it killed their computer for the afternoon waiting for them to download! Love and hugs Janis
