Hi all my dear friends. My computer monitor was down and I have not been able to access my daily strnegth.I hope yall …
I am sorry that you did not have more response. You were right, not many people are active in the Pancreatic Cancer support group. The truth is that we all wind up in the Bereavement suppor tgroup so fast. I do go back and look for new people that is how I found you. I don't know if you will get this or not but I will listen and try to help anyway that I can. The experience that I had is with my mother who died from this on Aug.25,07. My mother found out too late and lived only 5 months. Nothing was an option. She did try chemo but it left her worse off. On one scan they noticed nodules in the lungs. They didn't tell us the cancer had spread to the lungs and she was too sick to do a test to confirm it. She got really sick with pnemonia and when it didn't clear up they figured it was the cancer. It only took six days and she died. I don't think the doctor is being up front with you. I learned with my mom that you have to ask them the hard and direct questions in order to get a straight answer. Again, I am sorry. You do need support. If you come back just send me a hug. I'll watch for you. Debbie
