About Me
I'm a new grad RN, still seeking a job. I'm the proud divorced Mommy of 3 and 8 yr old girls, (and 1 yr old Aaron - pictured) who've pretty much lived their lives with Mom nonexistent and preoccupied with school. I hope having a steady job and income will provide the stability my family needs. I'm OCD and severely ADHD; currently at a great loss as to how to help my TS, ADHD, OCD daughter with the same problems I struggle with. How can you teach a child what I'm still learning?!

Close Tourette Syndrome & Tic Disorders
My daughter began self-destructive behaviors at 2, but they resolved without treatment. Motor tics began again at 5 and progressed very rapidly. Tenex worked great, but she's been out of control recently & now she's having behavioral problems. Her anxiety is through the roof & had multiple break-downs. School reports horrible social skills - She's friendless and disliked. She sits at the back of the class next to a tolerant child who won't be distracted by her attitude, chatter, or fidgeting.

Close Meniere's Disease
I just learned about Meniere's and am suspicious that I might have it. I suffer from sudden dizzy attacks since last fall. I've also had tinnitus since some time last year. When it flares up, I'm very sensitive to any sound, esp high pitches (like my girls' voices), and sounds are muffled and distorted. I've also become very sensitive to any pressure changes. Meniere's???
Treatments
- Antivert Working / Worked
- Started with PRN, but the delay was too long to be effective. Now taking it 3x/day and I've only had 1 vertigo attack in the past couple weeks.
- Flomax Too Soon to Tell
- This is a nasal spray. My primary Dr thought it may help reduce the fluid but Im not sure. I started it the same time as I started taking the Meclizine regularly so its hard to say if its had an effect. I doubt it.
- Valium Working / Worked
- Desperate measure only, I'm afraid of it. But it usually works relatively well. Only taken it about 3 times.
