Feeling a bit better this evening. That was a tough way to learn a lesson. Back to work tomorrow.

Thanks...I'm doing ok, kind of having a little diver. trouble right now, but not too bad. I have to pay more with insurance than going thru the financial aid! Hope you have a good Sunday! :)

Close Diverticulitis
I've have diverticulitis episodes on and off for at least six years. I have it under control and hope to help others with my experiences.
Treatments
- High Fiber Diet Working / Worked
- Fiber One has great tasting cereals, snack bars and other products that make it very easy to keep the grams up in the 20-30 a day range. Just be sure to drink tons of water.
- Psyllium Working / Worked
- (aka Metamucil) These have changed my life. I take two Psyllium Husk capsules (500mg) three times a day with plenty of water and haven't had an infection since. Its the holy grail - at least for my system.
Close Panic Attacks
Over the six months I've had spells (for lack of a better word) that come on usually when I'm under a lot of mental stress. For example - driving on a busy highway at fast speeds with traffic very close in front and back, and the radio is blasting an important piece of news that I'm trying to hear. All of the sudden, my brain goes blank, I forget what road I'm on, where I'm going, and what day it is. It's pretty terrifying and I'm hoping to find someone on here who has had similar experiences.
Treatments
Open Aneurysms
Had a bad headache and stiff neck the evening after working on my antique car. Woke up the next day even worse. It was election day 2000. Drove myself to the hospital, after casting a vote, then after a barrage of tests they found a ruptured brain aneurysm. Had a six hour surgery the following day. The surgery went flawlessly. However, I've had migraines fairly consistently up until about two years ago. I read two books that changed my life.
Treatments
- Surgery, Brain Working / Worked
- Six hours later, I was A-OK.
