I AM A POST HYPER TO HYPO, SECONDARY TO RADIATION TX DONE BACK IN THE MID 70'S. AT THE AGE OF EARLY 20'S THIS THYROID DISEASE ENTERED AND RAVAGED MY LIFE AT THAT TIME. HAVING GONE THROUGH RADIATION POISONING THE DOCS FINALLY GOT ME UNDER CONTROL. IT TOOK TWO YEARS TO DO SO.NOW 30 PLUS YEARS LATTER, IM EXPERIENCING HYPER STATE AGAIN. HAVING NO INSURANCE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY WORKING LIFE, I CAN TELL EVERYONE THAT THIS IS A DIFFICULT SITUATION. IM BEGINNING THIS TREATMENT STOPPING THYROID MEDS.

- PTU Not Working
- NEEDED RAD IODINE
- Radioactive Iodine Working / Worked
- NO THYROID LEFT, BUT RADIATION POIS. AFTER 2 DOSES
- Synthroid Working / Worked
- GREAT FOR 30+ YEARS. BUT NOW MY BODY HAS CHANGED AND IM HYPERTOXIC.VERY HIGH DOSE 200MCG X2 DAILY TAKEN WITH Q3 MONTH LAB WORK. HAVE TO START OVER AND TITRATE BACK UP TO REQUIRED DOSE. NOT A GOOD FEELING AGAIN, HOWEVER I WILL DEAL WITH IT ALL. IM STRONG.

- SO FAR SO GOOD. AT LEAST MY HEARTRATE IS DOWN AND THROBBING HEAD HAS SUBSIDED
