           Wednesday was a day of going here,there,and everywhere. First my girlfriend and I went and put out the jars for donations we had made at local restuarants. I feel kinda odd doing that. I've seen other people have things like that and dropped a couple of bills in there for them but I never imagined I'd be one of "those" people. My mom tells me I shouldn't be embarrassed because everyone needs a helping hand at some point. We're trying to get the money to go to Maryland for my treatments. It's hard right now with me being out of work since October and waiting on the disability and medicaid to come threw. My mom just doesn't have the means to help me and I see the sadness in her eyes about it. My girlfriend does the best she can (she makes hemp and beaded keychains and sales those to raise funds) but she makes a little over minimum wage. So yeah I'm a poor country bumpkin *laughs* but I know things will work themselves out. It's in God's hands and I know he'll do as he sees fit.

            Well yesterday besides that we went to the Urology clinic at the hospital to try and get the name of my doctor at the hospital in Maryland from my doctor here. The hospital in Maryland basically told me they couldn't do much of anything until they knew who I was being referred to. Got the names that I needed and we decided to head home to make the call.

             We get home and I talk to my "research nurse" in Maryland about everything and she requests more information....She needs a copy of all of my medical records and she wants all of my CT scans and MRI's put on cd's and sent to her. So back to the hospital we went. It wouldn't be such a pain except I live out in the country (We don't even have a WalMart anywhere near here...imagine that lol) , the costs of gas is insane, and my hospital is about 35 to 40 minutes away from where I stay. We did get there just in time to get to Radiology and they didn't charge us for the cd's or anything because the first set of your medical records is free here ( Hey now I've got PROOF that I have brains in my skull lol ).

              So today will be less eventful I'm sure. It's going to be beautiful here today so I'll probably talk my girlfriend into going to the library and maybe then the park. I really need to talk her into making some of that awesome catfish for lunch today hehe. I've quit smoking cold turkey, quit eating red meat ( I read that cancer cells feed on it ), quit drinking almost everything that has caffine in it ( it can't be good on the kidneys but I do cheat with a glass of sweet tea every once in awhile ), and this has all been in the last two weeks. 

              I'm trying to be positive about everything now and life is much better. It'll be cool when we go up to Maryland because we have to be at the hospital really early in the morning on a monday my nurse said so we've decided to head up early on the Sunday before my appointment to check out some cool free stuff in the area. I never knew that the Smithsonian Zoo was free to go in. I think that's really awesome because we'll basically be living off of the cheapest food possible while we're there so it gives us a little something to look forward to.
