Another frustrating day Mood
Tuesday, May 6, 2008
woke up at 2 am this morning havent slept since, have had one dissapointment after another today. Went to dissability and basically was told because i work at all, they gonna deny my claim. Basically i have to be homeless and starving before im allowed to apply for anything and then i have to sit and wait 5 months before i get a freaking check, what am i supposed to check into a shelter during this 5 month waiting period. i mean what the hell? My damn legs aint broke i can work some, its just the amount and quality of the work will be very little. considering i may be sleep deprived foreeevverrr. My body is so tired that my back and arms are starting to ache, i don't feel like working, i just feel like being a negative nelley and im just ill at this point. hmft....   If i don't get sleep tonight i guess they won't be seeing my ill ass at work tomorrow either... maybe a good thing. Ok im done now.

darn I just wrote a sort of long letter and accidentally deleted it..I am so sorry to hear your having so many problems..It makes me mad they are so quick to dismiss people who actually need disability..yeah..they really want you nearly on the street before they can help you which practically has you on the street trying to keep up with the dam paperwork..I am sorry..as I tried to write earllier..this too will pass...Have you ever tried trazadone ..if not ask your dr about it much better than some sleep aids and used for depression at night..if you havent tried it see if you can get some..it really helps..and I am a true insomniac..I am so greatful for this drug@ I have read other people with hep c taking it.so I am sure you should be able to take while being treated...I have tried benedryl at night doesnt work as good and drugs like ambien are awful...super bad side effects I had and they can actually make your insomnia worse...It did for me anyway. Try a warm bath.....and some candles...breathe if you can and slow your body down..if you can...I hope this finds you feeling a little better am hoping you can find some sleep...and peace..take care....(((((((((hugs)))))))for healing..

I hate it that your feeling bad and cant get to sleep. Sometime I will pick up a book and start reading, and b4 I know it, Im sawing logs..For sure you have alot on your mind too. I would not hesitate to take a sleep aid either, I have done it alot my friend. But whatever you do, GET SOME REST! doctors orders..lol

Hmmmm ambien helped me sleep when I was on treatment, it only works well for about a week though, then I seemed to build up a tolerance to it and it didn't work as well, so I would just take it as needed, just a couple days a week to at least get a couple good nights sleep, all drugs effect people differantly so I'm not saying it would work for you but it helped me, it will knock you out the first few times you take it then it's not as effective, you want to have at least 8 hours to sleep to so you don't wake up groggy.

I'm so sorry about the whole disability thing. I know what you mean. I am self employed and no family within 1000 miles and if I don't work while I'm on treatment, I will be on the street but I'm not even going to attempt to get on it because I know that you have to practically be dead to get on it. You may want to go to your doctor and discuss this with him/her. Qualifying events for disability are not only physical but psychological as well. The treatment takes a toll on the whole body so don't give up. Does your work offer any disability time? AFLAC? My heart goes out to you. I will probably be in your same boat real soon.

i agree about the trazadone, and although i do have Hep C, i use the pills only when desperate for rest. // about the disability: your MD can help you create a history to submit to SSA.
