      My husband and I have been trying to conceive for almost two years.

      Treatments

      Basal Thermometer Somewhat Helpful
      Very helpful in getting to know my cycle... but not helpful in getting pregnant... at least not yet.
      Folic Acid Somewhat Helpful
      at least i know that if i do get pregnant i'll have less of a chance of any spinal deformities.
      Ovulation Predictor Kit Somewhat Helpful

      I've suffered from Dysthymia with recurring episodes of Major Depression since I was a child.

      Treatments

      Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Somewhat Helpful
      Sometimes helpful... hard to keep up though.
      Effexor Somewhat Helpful
      Only used it on a trial basis. Seemed to work okay.
      Meditation Too Soon to Tell
      it's relaxing... i keep falling asleep.
      Paxil Not Working
      Made me gain lots of weight and still didn't feel better.
      Positive Thinking Somewhat Helpful
      Sometimes...
      Prozac Too Soon to Tell
      My doc has me start taking this along with Wellbutrin... we'll see how it works.
      Psychotherapy Somewhat Helpful
      depends... i'm struggling to find a therapist i really like.

      Helpful if i ask for help... but i have a really hard time doing that most of the time.

      Certainly made me more motivated but not necessarily happier. My doc added Prozac to see if that helps.

      Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Working / Worked
      I can't eat buffalo wings!
      Caffeine Somewhat Helpful
      seems to speed up affect of pain killers.
      Excedrin Not Working
      this never worked for me.
      Maxalt Somewhat Helpful
      well... the headache went away faster... but the pressure in my head from the medicine was just as painful as the headache!
      Naproxen Working / Worked
      about the same as tylenol... i usually take them both together.
      Tylenol Somewhat Helpful
      if it's a smaller migraine, just taking tylenol will take the edge off enough that i can go to sleep for several hours. the sleeping is what really helps.

      I am not Deaf myself, however I am a teacher for infants with hearing loss. I'd be happy to offer advise or strategies for living with infants and toddlers with hearing loss.

      I have lots of experience with hearing aids for infants and toddlers.
      Sign Language Working / Worked
      I've been signing for over 20 years. I teach sign language classes for parents.

      My husband and I have been unsuccessful at having our own baby and are considering adoption. I'm searching for more information and support with the process.
