Hey, every one, just thought i would let you all know how things are going as far as the job hunt goes...
this past friday i had an interview at a local theater, the interview went VERY well. in fact that guy who interviewed me said before i left that he was VERY impressed and interested. he then gave me three papers and told me that i needed to go have them filled out by three different employers from with in the past five years. well clearly i was not going to go to the hotel i was just fired from. so i thought back to other jobs, i was a manager at Godiva, and i was also a supervisor at TurtleCreek (a flea market around these parts), and then there was Olive Garden and Arby's and Bob Evan's and then the military (its pretty sad when you think about all those jobs). every one, including the managers, that i worked with at Godiva are gone. so i called Turtle Creek, and they had a fire in the main hall way, so i couldnt get in there. so that left Olive Garden, Arbly's and Bob Evan's. i made a call to all three places and every one told me they would be able to fill the papers out for me and scheduled a time to come see them. the first place i went was Olive Garden and the manager i talked to there, after looking at the paper, told me that she couldn't fill out. then i headed down to Lebanon (its about an hour south of me), and you wouldnt believe what i had to go through to get there because of the storm. by the time i got there the GM filled out the top half of the paper and then told me that she couldnt fill out the bottom half of the paper. so then i headed over to Arby's and the manager there had no problem at all filling the paper out. so i had one and a half of them done but didnt know where to go to get the other one filled out. so i called the theater back and asked them if it would be okay to get the paper filled out by a boss who is no longer at one of the companies i worked for? they told me that as long as that person was a supervisor at the time i worked there it would be fine, they also told me that even though one of them didnt fill out the bottom half of the paper, it was okay. so i got them all filled out and turned in. the guy that i turned them into was not the same person who interviewed me but he told me that he would check up on the references that i had and get back with me as soon as possible.
so any way, i am sleeping this morning, and in a good sleep. and my phone starts ringing. i dont take lightly to people calling me at eight in the morning. but i answered the phone any way, didnt recognize the number, so i made it sound as if i had been up for hours. and i was glad i did, because it was another job calling me for an interview. this job is a good job (though its kind of nasty and not the job that i want to do for the rest of my life, but its something to get me through school), and it pays well, and its full time. so i am going tomorrow for that interview, its at the local hospital here. i cant wait, its a two part interview and im doing both parts tomorrow. i know i can wow them and get the job.
