So for the last almost three weeks I have been sitting in a dark living room just laying there.  The headaches got much worse, I couldn't move my neck, and in general felt horrible.  I tried to get an appoinment with my doctor but couldn't and settled for another.  She basically told me "It's a migrane, get over it" and put me on something to help me sleep and some migrane meds. 

My problem with this was I had had this headache for over a week, in my opinion that is just not normal (plus all the meds tell you to see your doctor if the problem keeps happening)  Well after a few days on these meds I felt worse, not better, and called the doctor on duty late at night.  He told me either I could spend 4 hours in the ER or come into the doctor's office tomorrow.  I decided to just sleep and go to the doc.  Of course the next day I couldn't get an appoinment and finally my doctor said GO TO THE HOSPITAL THIS IS NOT NORMAL.  So Anyway I got admitted to the ER, and I'm not sure what they thought, but appearantly I'm some kind of druggie just wanting a fix... Nevermind that I was crying, miserable, and the doctor spent a total of 35 seconds with me.  I mean I understand that it is impossible to prove that I infact have a headache, and people take advantage of the hospital all the time, but I feel like they just wrote me off without even getting to know me.  I would have gladly given them my other meds, if they would have made me better.  Anyway they just gave me a shot of migrane meds.  

So Crying, I call the nurse at my doctor and get the doctor on call.  He says "Get here as soon as possible and we'll look at you"  So they check me out and he tells me "You're not crazy!"  He said that sometimes people get migranes and the pain won't stop until you try a certain meds.  I get 3 shots, 2 are pain killers and one is a new med. They tell me "You won't remember the rest of the day, and You'll wake up feeling better than you ever have."  

Unfortunately, the next day I woke up in just as much pain.  At this point I've had 3 different meds and finally I go see MY doctor.  He does a bunch of tests, drawing blood and so forth, and he sends me to the navy hospital for a CT scan.  It turns out to be normal, and my doctor concludes that I have a pinched nerve in my neck (ie why I can't move it) and that in turn is causing my headaches.  So he puts me on a muscle relaxant and pain meds.  Finally after 2 n half weeks, I start to feel better! 

The only downside is that I have had double vision for about a week now.  It's kinda funky but much better than feeling as bad as I did.  I've been off all meds for a few days and am waiting to see if it was just a side effect and will go away on it's on.  It seems to be getting better because I can see further normally.  If not, I guess the doctors on base will know me by name! :P
