I was happy to see many segments on television about asperger's and autism. I would like nothing better than for these kids to have understanding and compassion and awareness from their peers. These kids need that more than anything. They need to feel they measure up. Since most are bullied, including mine, many retreat back into their own little worlds. These kids are average or above average in intelligence. Aspie kids are higher functioning. They just think differently than most mainstream kids.
