About Me
Im 50 years old this september married with 2 teenage girls and work part time with children. I Love animals and musicals.I am waiting to have a Gastric bypass but before the surgeon will concider putting me on his waiting list and need to talk with people who have had or are considering to have this procedure done to find out the good and bad things about this from other people. My husband is unsure about me having the procedure but my 2 teenage daughters and the rest of my family are all behind me.Please tell me about your experiences with Gastric bypass surgury. I've been overweight most of my life, well since I was 16.In my thirties I developed Osteoarthrites in all my main joints and its getting worse in my knees which keep giving way. It's not helped with the weight I carry. Im 5'1" tall and weight 16st 10lbs. Im waiting to have Gastric bypass surgery but before the surgeon will put me on his waiting list I need to talk with people who have had this surgery done, to find out the good and bad things that can happen and the experiences of others.
Treatments
- Weight Watchers Working / Worked
- this did work but I could not keep the weight off
- Xenical Working / Worked
- this did not work my doctor said I didn't eat enough fatty foods.
Close Gastric Bypass Surgery
Hi my name is Janet Im 50 this year and am waiting to have Gastric bypass surgery. I can't go on the waiting list until I have attended some support group meetings. I can not find any in my area of West Yorkshire and have just found your group online.Has anyone any infomation or can anyone tell my about their experiences good or bad. This would help a lot and if anyone knows of any support groups around Huddersfield/Halifax/Wakefieldarea please let my know. Thanks Janet.X
