About Me
Hello. I teach 6th-8th grade history at a local private school. Although I have lots of interests (reading and collecting books, history, wine collecting, travel, dogs -well German Shepherds, foreign and indie films and many more). I am struggling with getting through my daily life since my wife of 12 years (20 together) left me. I am easy going, fun, shy sometimes and deep down I know I am good person with lots to offer. I hope to meet people who are also struggling with divorce. I have a BA in History from the University of Wisconsin and a BA in Poli-Sci from Cal State Fullerton. Now that I am alone going back for my Masters is a big goal.

Close Breakups & Divorce
I am now 41 and was with my wife since college. So we spent 20 years together and 12 married. Divorce just final in May of 2008 after almost two long years. She left me because she is/was unhappy/midlife crisis..umm I really dont know. But it really hard for me she was my world. I always loved her, put her first, never even looked at another woman. Sigh, things suck right now and I DONT know what to do.
Treatments
- Couples Counseling Working / Worked
- I have gone to LMT and a shrink. No useful help to me. That includes pills although I may go back on sleeping pills as I dont sleep at all.
- Pets Working / Worked
- Altough we share the dog, I cant give him up. When I have him he makes me happy. Side effects, I do think of Kathy.
- Reading Working / Worked
- Not working, considering I love to read and teach History.
- Support from Friends & Family Working / Worked
- They are there for me but dont really understand. Not there fault, I am blessed to have people who care.
- Support Groups Working / Worked
- Just starting to try this both online and locally. I think talking to others who really do understand will do some good.
