In the last two hours, I have not once gotten ticked off with my family.
Saw my care manager (general practice doc) on Tuesday. He walked into the room without a CLUE as to who I was or why I was there. Really ticked me off!
So, I gave the whole run-down again. He said my x-rays of hand/elbow/shoulder where "within normal paramaters", but seemed paniced when I asked him if there was anything in the report about a cervical rib. I then told him that I'd like to see Orthopedics...when he proceeded to tell me that he didn't know of any type of surgery that would correct or help with TOS. That's when my wonderful husband got ticked off. He gave a run-through pretty much of what his chiro said, and a brief summary of what TOS is.
To which the doctor replied "Well, yes, and that's why I'm refering her to Ortho"
I also had to stop him from giving me a different muscle relaxer....the one I was one at the start-it make me really sick. He didn't even read my chart. He also did not read the report sent by PT. Did not see their Dx even though it's in the 4th sentance in the first paragraph! I had to point it out to him.
The good news is that I'll hopefully be seeing a specialist soon. And that the doc is being transfered soon, and I'll be placed with a different Care Manager! HURRAY!
PT appt today....I've only 4 left. I'm thankfull for that in a way. I think some of the things we're trying is helping some...but most of it just causes more pain.
