I am having a GREAT day!!!!!!!!!  I opened my email this morning, to discover that I had been hired on as a Summer School teacher this year!!!  WOOHOO!!!  That takes care of my high-stress summer problem of having to find a source of income for the summer vacation (subs only get paid when they work, you know!).  I was especially concerned because my ex stopped making child support payments for some reason a couple of months ago (working with support services to try to take care of this issue), so my income is reduced even more than usual.  And now, no worries!!  And I will also have plenty of time to do more medical transcription (that pays pretty well) over the next few months, for some "extra" income.

AND, MAYBE this summer school experience will be enough to put me in the "experienced enough to hire" category when I'm looking for that full-time teaching position this coming school year!  It has been a long, hard struggle, but I just keep collecting small bits of experience and taking the sub jobs that others shy away from, and I think maybe it is finally going to pay off.  Again, WOOHOOOO!!!!
