I had gone about 2.5 years without seeing or speaking to my children, until last month, when they visited. Since then, my daughter Jestie has called me every day, and my son, Conner, either chats or challenges me to a video game at least every other day. I was so scared that they either wouldn't remember me or wouldn't like me. But, they are overjoyed that I still love them and want them in my life. It is the best feeling I have ever had, and it is filling me with purpose. They were little kids the last time I saw them. Now, my daughter is blossoming like CRAZY! I couldn't believe it! They are becoming very special people. Life is GOOD.
Losing my family was the worst thing that ever happened to me. I gave up on life the day they left. It didn't give up on me.
