Tomorrow there will be a walk in New York called "Out of the Darkness Overnight". It is the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. There will be so many people walking for those lives that have been lost to suicide and for those who have lived. I wish I could go and walk with them, but I am too sick to walk 20 miles. I did donate and wished them the best of luck. If anyone is interested you can go to:
My donation was not just for them, but for Sarahjane13 who lost the battle to suicide and for all those who lose every single day.

Suicide is such a tragedy. the pain that one must endure to get them to that point must be beyond measure. I know that many of us with depressive disorders have given some thought to this way to escape the pain. Unfortuneately, many of us have enough support systems in place that we can see the light at the end of the tunnel.I had a girlfriend that hung herself several years ago. She was always upbeat when around friends and famuly, she suffered in silence, for what ever reason. Her young son found her. how traumatic!!! Even to this day no one is really sure what ,ade her do this. But even more tragic, is that several years later her daughter, a good friend of my daughter, hung herself. Again, no one was aware of any problems. she had just come back from an evening of skiing with the school. If only this two souls would have been able to reach out to someone this may not have happened. Debbie
