a read a disscussion Mood
Friday, May 16, 2008 | A Frustrating story

I JUST FINISHED READING A DISSCUSSION FROM A VERY KIND BEAUTIFUL PERSONAL.  THIS PERSON WAS WONDERING WHY SO MANY CHRISTIANS SPEND MORE TIME JUDGING OTHERS THEN IN BEING CHRISTIAN. THAT IA ONE HECK OF A GOOD QUESTION.

FIRST I DO NOT THINK ANYONE HAS ANY RIGHT TO JUDGE.  I DON'T CARE IF YOU ARE A MINISTER, THE POPE OR THE DAHLI LAMA OR PAT ROBINSON.   IT IS NOT IN OUR PLACE. IN THE BIBLE ISN'T IT SAID JUDGE NOT LEST YOU BE JUDGE AND FOUND WANTING.

IT HAS ALWAYS ANNOYED ME BECAUSE PEOPLE CAN ALWAYS FIND TIME TO JUDGE BUT ARE TO BUSY TO HELP I KNOW I AM RAVING  BUT THIS IS ONE THING I REALLY GET UPSET ABOUT. BELIEVE WE ALL HAVE FAULTS, YES WE DO.

KATHY LOVE

PS.  I AM BORN AND RAISED A CATHOLIC. ALMOST BECAME A NUN, HEAVEN HELP THOSE SCHOOL KIDS.  BUT I STILL THE POPE HAS NO RIGHT TO JUDGE, SORRY FELLOW CATHOLICS HE IS AFTER ALL JUST A MAN

I was alost born and partly raised Catholic, but I survived it..lol.. this is the one thing that gets under my skin more than anything else, the ignorance of the human race.

I agree about the judgments from others. that really bugs me too. And I agree about the Pope. Just a man ... with credentials. = )
I read somewhere where the Catholic church says it's OK to believe in life forms from other plants or something like that and I thought "isn't it nutty that they think they have to tell people what they can believe?" I've believed that for a long time and no one told me I could. = )
But, as you say, no one is perfect. what a relief that is!

i firmly believe in other forms. wht in heavens name would god have stopped with us? i have 2 therories
    1. we weredemo models. made to see how we functioned. ( not too well)
    2. like australia was for england, we were a penal colony for other planets. you know they sent there scum to earth.
sounds odd i know, but makes a weird kind of logic,

I SEE THE LOGIC, BUT I HOPE WE ARE MORE THAN THAT!! PEOPLE LIKE YOU ARE DEFINITELY NOT SCUMMY ALIENS, AND IT'S PEOPLE LIKE YOU THAT MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE JUST BY BEING IN IT.

I AM IN AGREEMENT WITH WHAT YOU ARE SAYING. SOME CHRISTIANS SHOW JUDGMENTALISM MORE THAN THE LOVE OF CHRIST. WE SHOULD AIM TO BE LIKE HIM AND IMITATE HIM FOR HE SAID TO LOVE OUR NEIGHBOUR AS OURSELVES. MAYBE THOSE WHO JUDGE ARE MORE LIKE THE PEOPLE THEY ARE CONDEMNING? BLESSINGS

I agree people should not judge others. After all we are all human and we all have our own faults, some more so than others. I have found that when i've helped people, i don't seem to get the help when i am in need.

makes complete sense to me. i consider myself a christian, yet i do NOT go to church because it feels like high school all over again. i feel as though i'm being judged and summed up the minute i walk in the door. it's just not comfortable for me...so i worship at home with my children. it says in the bible after all whenever 2 or more gather...something like that. sorry...i'm a bit tired.

Oh I totally agree with you.
No I don't think you are raving because there is so much more I could add but won't cuz I may offend too many people

I am an atheist and find far too many conflicting views from people of certain faiths. But there is no doubting the kindness of heart in you, at least.
