Today I went to see my psychologist. I told her about Daily Strengh and she said she was really proud of me for joining a bereavement group and wanted to hear all about it. I told her how great everyone was here and that everyone was very suportive , kind , loving and gentle. I told her that she should tell all of her patients about this web site because it is a great help to have someone in your own situation to talk to and be a sounding board for. She said she would like to see the site and see what it is all about. To bad everyone on here doesn't live here too, she is a great psycholigist, not to mention, she gives the best hugs of anyone I know.

Just a thought, but try celebrating the day anyway for the memory of the great that was in your son while he was with you. Make the day a momento to the best of your son like a remembrance. I have lost my brother and he was my best friend, but I can tell you that his funeral was like a celebration of his life and every detail was gone over and I left there happy for having spent the time I did with him. When his birthday rolls around i toast one to him literally. I don't actually drink. But I say a prayer for him and send my loviing thoughts his way and I can feel the warmth we once shared. I had him for nearly 30 years, so that is a lot of good memories.
Hope this helps, please do not hold on to the hurt, it is obviously not healthy for you. Forgive, but never forget and go on.
If I am too pushy, please feel free to tell me to back off. I need not cause you any more grief.
Best to you!

What a sad month April has become for you. But you have happy events to commemorate too. Don't forget the one's still here, especially your daughter, she needs you very much.
