A Busy Day

I am a substitute teacher. I have three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild on the way. I lost my Dad last March, and then my husband last October. I was in shock the first few months after my husband died, and now am really having a hard time getting through the days. I am looking for other widows going through the same thing for support.

My Dad passed away last March, and my husband of 42 years passed away last October. I don't have many close friends, and so I feel lonely a lot. My youngest son lives with me, and he helps, but he is in school fulltime and in a play that takes him away a lot. I have 3 grandchildren (8.16, and 21) and a great grandchild on the way. I am looking for a support group of other widows who recently lost their spouse so I can learn how to deal with my loss.
I became a widow on October 19, 2007 when my husband of 42 years died of a massive stroke. I also lost my Dad last March, so this year has been really hard. I work as a substitute teacher, and that helps the days go by, but the nights are still very hard. I sleep with the TV on just so I don't think about all his last moments. Would like to visit with others like me to get support. Thanks
