We have to order the complete autopsy and pay a hundred bucks, we haven't done that yet, but we are getting to death certificate today, I thought they would just mail it but the funeral home wants us to meet with them.

      Type: Loss of a Child

Wesley Graham. Born: 1/23/08. Died: 2/18/08. Only 26 days old! Cause of death still unconfirmed but as it stands, the ER doctor believes it was a respiratory virus. One day he had a cold of sorts - sleepy and wouldn't eat. The next day his skin was cold and clammy, and stopped breathing after I fed him a bottle. We tried CPR and heard a gurgling sound. EMTs tried to revive him but lost his pulse shortly after. He was sent to the hospital and the ER continued to try with no luck.

      Keeping Busy Somewhat Helpful
I'm keeping myself too busy that once I'm so exhausted and need to relax; reality hits me like a ton of bricks. Each new day is harder than the previous.
      Pets Working / Worked
Our dogs have always been an amazing support system and we need them now more than ever!
      Remembering Working / Worked
last-memories.com is an amazing online service that offers memorial websites. It has allowed me to vent and make new friends who have experienced something similar.
Support from Friends & Family Working / Worked
We immediately surrounded ourselves with friends and family. Having them nearby made it easier for us to cope. Even if you aren't ready to talk, knowing that people are nearby is helpful for when you are ready.
      Talking Working / Worked
Since the moment we learned our son had passed away, I decided to take everything on as it presented itself. I could have put things off but I knew eventually I'd have to deal with them. Diving into the situation head first, while hard, was the best thing for me. Remembering my son was my means to accepting his death.
