About Me
I am 38 years old. I just got diagnosed with ITP and lupus. I am married to a wonderfull man for 19 years. We have 2 amazing daughters. One is 18 and the other is 13. I feel so blessed to have them. I have 2 dogs also that are like my kids, Zoe and Molly.
Interests
I love to shop, cook, Nascar, Alabama football, Boating, Fishing, spending time with my family, I like to play games on the computer, reality TV, bowling, watching my daughter play softball and cheer.I really like to do just about any thing.

Close Thrombocytopenic Purpura
I was diagnosed with ITP on 3-4-08. It all started when I started my menstral cycle and it lasted for over 2 weeks. I was in the hospital for 16 days recieving numerous pints of blood and platelets. My platelets were a 3 when I was diagnosed, when I left the hospital after 16 days they were A 50. 5 days later I had to get blood work and they were a 95.
Treatments
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- It works but I hate the side effects. Moody, sweats, shaky,hunger,just all in all not good but it does work and I feel it saved my life.
- Danazol Working / Worked
- It has helped me keep my counts up.
Close Lupus
I was diagnosed with ITP on 3-4-08 and they also told me I had lupus a few days later. It was all A big shock for me.I know people with lupus that live normal lives and I hope that is what I can do. I really was shocked because the only symptoms I was having was A little joint pain that would come and go. It was never severe pain.
