Monday, July 21, 2008 | A General Update story

We are doing good....the shots went surprisingly well on Thursday. Lily did great and I thought she would be the one to throw a fit. She screamed when she got poked and then stopped soon after. Ronan on the other hand....he had the delayed reaction....didn't cry when he got poked but cried for about 10 minutes afterwards with big ol tears and sticking his bottom lip out. I felt so bad for him.

I gave them the Tylenol every 4 hours the rest of the day and night and they went down at their normal time and slept thru to 5:30 am and were fine the next day. They did great the rest of the weekend too.

I just could not have asked for better babies...they are so calm and wonderful....

They are now sleeping peacefully in their pack n play listening to the classical music channel...I swear that is the key for us....they calm right down when the music comes on....hopefully this will make them smart kids too...

So today we are meeting up with another twin mom I met at Wal-mart...we have the same stroller and just started talking...ended up she had her boys 10 days after mine at the same hospital. Hers were in the NICU but just 2 days....I think I remember her but only Ronan would have been there at the time hers were and it was a crazy time.

So, should be a fun afternoon getting together...I am then heading to Babies R Us for the third time this week to exchange a humidifier and pick up some other odds and ends.

That is so neat that you met that mom...maybe your kids will be friends from the start...that would be so cool! :)
I am so glad things are going well with the babies and that they are so calm...my first was like that...the second started like that then got a little fussier later...but we found he really liked staring at the fish tank! :)

It's always fun to make friends with other twin mommies. We have a bond and can understand things that others don't get. I bet you'll have a blast.

That sounds great that they did so well- I will have to remember the tylenol thing to help my little one through her shots. Have fun on your outing with the other twin mom- I know just having other mom's to talk to is so helpful- I bet knowing other twin-mom's is twice as helpful!

I'm glad that the shots weren't too bad. I imagine as a mommy it's hard to watch your little ones get poked! I hope you have a great time with the other twin mom, and have a gerat time on vacation! :)
