Just read that you're having such good results with Remicade. Just had my first infusion today and hope for the same! :-)

Close Crohn's Disease & Ulcerative Colitis
Just diagnosed in February '08 with UC...and I am sad/scared/anxious. I want my life back. I am grateful to find a community where I can share my experience and learn from others.
Treatments
- Asacol Somewhat Helpful
- Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Working / Worked
- I limit coffee (painful but nec for me) and dairy (also painful for me!). I also cannot eat raw veggies and most fruits. I am (was) a high-fiber fruit and veggie lover, so this is not a welcome diet change but it does seem to help.
- Azulfidine Somewhat Helpful
- Lialda Somewhat Helpful
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- Still taking pred but my doc is tapering my doe. The side effects are very hard....but the other meds weren't doing the trick and I was getting very weak from 20 or so episodes a day. Now...mornings are still tough but I am better.
- Remicade Working / Worked
- Unbelievable. Started working within 24 hours. I feel like I am getting my life back!
