Well, it's four days until my ablation at Mass General... and I'm getting nervous... I think I have all my ducks in a row... rides to and from Boston arranged (40 miles away), have had a CT scan of my heart (took two tries because they could not find a suitable vein on day one... day two was much more successful), have my chest x-ray in hand, my prescription for Prylosec and my bag almost packed.... since the date has been set, I've made only one trip to the ER.... I am generally feeling very tired much of the time, though I'm willing to admit that anxiety may be playing a big part here...

I've read everything that I can get my hands on about A Fib (of the paroxymal variety) and of catherter ablation.... some of what I read is very encouraging... some of it is scary... why is it some people report great success and others not... I like my EP... Dr. Heist was highly recommended, took all the time I needed explaining what's happening to my heart and what he proposes to do about it....He was very understanding of the fact that I wanted him alond to do the proceedure, not some Fellow... sorry guys and gals... learn on someone else... I'm too scared to have some one new handle the lazer that will destroy some of my heart tissue...

I kind of excited about having this proceedure because maybe I'll start to feel good again and get back the energy I've lost... but at the same time, I'm very scared... but again, just 4 more days and then the healing will begin...
