About Me
I am 49 year old happily married grandmother. 1 Amazing grandson and one granddaughter on the way due in late July just found out that another one is on the way in Jan. I have 3 grown children 2 married one will be next year (I think). I have had 5 back surgeries the last one my 3rd fusion a few months ago. Been going through this nightmare with my back for 10 years now seeing the same pain Dr. I love love love Brooks and Dunn and Sugarland which both I have been lucky to meet. I feel sorry for myself, when I do I try to remember that their are worse off people than myself. I love to watercolor and do any craft that I can figure out.

Close Back Pain
I'm currently 4 months out from my 5th back surgery. 3rd fusion. I have a supportive loving husband and 3 great grown children. I have a 3 yr Grandson and expecting a granddaughter in late July.

Close Sciatica
I'm currently 4 months out from my 5th back surgery. 3rd fusion. I have a supportive loving husband and 3 great grown children. I have a 3 yr Grandson and expecting a granddaughter in late July. I paint (watercolor) decorate cakes, make jewelry.
Treatments
- Stretching Somewhat Helpful
- Prior to my surgery I went to the ymca 3 times a week. stretching and walking (though painful) seemed to help
Open Meningitis
I have a had aseptic viral meningitis 2 times now. Each time I had steroid injections to my back. The first time 10 yr. ago I did not know anything for a week, recognize people, hear things, high fever, the works. 2 weeks in the hospital. The Dr.'s didn't think it was related to the injections, I had also been bitten on the by a tick. The 2nd time was this past Dec I had another steroid injection and 3 days later in here I go again. I

- Vancomycin Working / Worked
- no side effects had it iv for 4 days
Open Chronic Pain
I'm currently 2 months out from my 5th back surgery. 3rd fusion. I had steroid injections both times resulted in Meningitis.I injured my back in 1997 with 3 of the 5 surgeries being in 1998 by a not up to date ortho Dr I've been seeing the same pain dr for since 1998. Even with this last surgery the sciatic pain has be greatlt reduced but the back pain is a big dog!
