Close Bipolar Disorder
Diagnosed in 95 after house fire, bp2 mild. Wife lost major job 2 years ago, I lost medical ins, had to "wean" myself off meds due to cost. Drug free since April of 2007. Coping OK, got medical ins again, going back on. I think I've held it together well. Kids agree, wife doesn't.

- Ativan Somewhat Helpful
- Too habit forming, too hard to get script for.
- Depakote Working / Worked
- The old tried and true... not sure what it does, but doc said I needed it.
- Group Therapy Working / Worked
- LOVED it.
- Lamictal Working / Worked
- helpful in seperating emotion from logic
- Lithium Working / Worked
- I guess it worked, then for no reason I got sever hives on 1/2 of my body 10 times. I quite taking Lithium and hives stopped the next day and never came back, Never went back on it. Switched to Depakote.
