My son Stephen was born with severe Reflux, after 2 grilling years of reflux he finally had surgery. He was diagnosed from the beginning as "Developmentally Delayed" He later was diagnosed as PDD-NOS. He is a wonderful 10 year old boy. He is very high functioning and is fully mainstreamed. He suffers in reading, math and social skills. We are currently trying to have the school write better goals and objectives for him. I look into his eyes and know he wants more, it breaks my heart.
My son is diagnosed with PDD/NOS and S.I.D. He is very high functioning but still has severe issues. He is hypotonic, low muscle tone so he doesn't write very well. He is also speech impaired so his words sometimes run together. He is a wonderful, caring boy that I would do anything for.
