About Me
diagnosed with acromegaly a year ago now, not doing so bad , i have my up and down moments like everyone else. fighting depression, have two lovely children and a husband who tries his best in everything. since seeing my medium i am finding myself again, i have become a spiritual person and i have the poem footprints in the sand close by to help me through my very low points. no im not religious just spiritual (there is a big difference) would like to make new friends who see me as me not my appearance.

Hi, Thanks for post, yes these knees kill some days, but paracetmol helps a bit, cant take too many different drugs have Blood pressure probs and cholestral, take care hope your feeling good.

Close Acromegaly
diagnosed with acromegaly last year,went from half a tablet a week to 2 whole tablets a week, a brain scan and plenty of 4 hour blood tests... the tablets did the job a little but didnt bring my levels right down so now im going on the somatuline autogel shots once a month. my IGF 1 For my age it should be between 13.0 and 64.0 when i was diagnosed it was 124.0 the lowest they got it to was 71.1 so nearly was there but my last blood was 81.3 so it elevated a bit.

- still trying to find the right dosage but now i am on the maximum for this. the doctors have now given up on this and want to try something else. i have had no side affects with this drug.
Close Depression
Type: Clinical (Major) Depressionbeen in and out of depression for 7 years,now on medication again as im finding life a little difficult.did take something back then but i cant remember what they were... got out of it after 3 months. had my first child 4 years ago and got postnatal depressin(baby blues) which i refused to believe i had for a year. since then i have been in and out of depression. although these bouts dont last long its still horrible to feel like apsaulute crap!

my son is 2 and has a multicysticdispalstic kidnsey. he has been well since birth but he has still been through a lot with the hospital. like any little boy he was good as gold untill he turned 2!! now hes a little monkey :) would like advice on sleeping really as he is still waking up and i can not get him to sleep again. would like to chat to other parents too!

my grandad is in his late 80's and has had cance for over 10 years now. he not doing so well now and im scared of loosing him. he has cancer everywhere now but they are still trying to controll it. i think he is just trying to hold on as my wedding is soon and i know he wants to be there, but i dont want him to suffer anymore its very hard.
