Argh!  Today the power company called and left a message for me that they need proof that the overpayment check cleared my bank.  Um what?!  Don't they have the funds in their account now? So I faxed them the print out from my account.  (After several tries of it not going through).  And I bet you they will say the online print out is not sufficient.*  I am so pissed.  Also, I called my bank to double check if it cleared and they said it was posted, which I assume means the same thing.  I asked if it was too late to stop payment, she said yep.  And she then proceeded to shame me by saying it could have turned out worse and maybe next time I'll be more attentive.  I was furious and considered bitching her out, but just got off the phone quickly.  Um, it's called a mistake, and I feel bad enough as it is.
