Happily Married with six children consisting of "yours, mine and ours". Grandmother of two and one on the way. Diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 1994. Also have degenerative disc disease, CFS, and arthritis. Currently not working due to setback in health. Hopeful and needing to share.
Interests
I love to play piano and sing gospel music with my girls. Spend time with my children and granddaughters. Being outdoors is my favorite thing. I wish I could live on a beach.

Close Fibromyalgia
I was diagnosed in 1994 after the birth of my last child. I have been on so many different drugs and tried all kinds of therapy. I moved to kentucky in 2003 and stopped all meds and started working at the YMCA. I lost weight and felt great for about 2 years. Now after a hysterectomy and surgery on my neck i am having a major setback with my health.
Treatments
- Aqua Therapy Somewhat Helpful
- works most of the time
- Cyclobenzaprine Not Working
- Helps with muscle spasms
- Cymbalta Working / Worked
- Started 2 months ago. Seems to be helping with depression.
- Effexor Not Working
- Caused weight gain and didnot help.
- Elavil Not Working
- Caused weight gain and did not help with symptoms except for sleeping.
- Neurontin Working / Worked
- I had to take at high doses but it helped with pain and gave me energy.
- Lyrica Working / Worked
- Been on for two months not noticing a big difference

Open Degenerative Disc Disease
I was diagnosed in 1990. I have had disc replacement surgery on my neck in 2003 and back surgery in October of 2007. I have arthritis in my spine also. In pain most of the time.
Open Chronic Pain
