Interests
Movies...disney, I know it is sad but I love DISNEY! I read a lot. I am always trying to find some new way to look at the world around us. I am a very spiritual person. Close Bipolar Disorder
I was diagnosed with Bipolar several years ago. However, I didn't believe it. It wasn't until a very very hard year that I sought treatment and was again told I was bipolar type 2. My doctor this time took the time to explain the disorder to me. It hit so close to home I can remember crying and saying over and over "you get it. so, I'm not crazy." I have also been diagnosed with anxiety/panic disorder. These past few years have been extremely hard for me and my hubby. Just seeking support.
Treatments
- Abilify Somewhat Helpful
- I used this at one time. It worked for a little while, but then slowly my symptoms came back.
- Ativan Working / Worked
- I am currently on this 1mg 4 times a day. It is really helping my cope with my anixety/panic disorder. It helps lower the frequency and intensity of my attacks.
- Holistic Health Working / Worked
- Seeing a Chiropractor who deals with holistic healing. the problem is the cost is so high! When I can afford to go I feel a big change in my pain and state of mind.
- Lamictal Working / Worked
- Started this at 25mg now taking 200mg. It took awhile to find the right doseage, but since we have even my family has noticed a change.
- Seroquel Working / Worked
- I take this for sleeping. I know it is used for other treatments as well. It works wonders it helps me fall asleep and mostly sleep through the nights. Rather than before with the endless nights of insomnia.
- Wellbutrin Working / Worked
- I actually tried this as an anti-depressant and stop smoking aid. I would have to say it failed miserably in both areas.
Close Hypothyroidism
I am new to the hypothyroidism disorder. I just found out 3 weeks ago. I am currenlty on the 2nd medication increase since I found out. I just need to "plug into" a support group of people that can help educate me as well as encourage each other.

- Just started taking.
Open Chronic Pain
I have been dealing with chronic pain for 8 years. During this past years it has reached the most intense and disabling.
Treatments
- Flexeril Working / Worked
- works sometimes, but it makes my legs very jumpy at nighttime
- Heat Working / Worked
- works wonders...however, i have permenant discoloration on my stomach and abdomin from continual use. so be careful
- Hydrocodone Working / Worked
- worked for a little while to control midline pain.
- Lidoderm Working / Worked
- I use to have these on all the time. They really helped with surface pain. I am currently planning on talking with my doctor about possible trying this again.
- Meditation Too Soon to Tell
- I am just beginning to gather information and instruction on meditation.
- Naproxen Not Working
- I could have taken tic tacs and never known the difference.
Open Anxiety
In the last year my Anxiety/Panic disorder has became rather out of control. I am trying to learn new coping skills and sharing with others to help us all out.
Treatments

- This is my rescue! Without it, I don't know how I would get through attacks.
- Breathing Exercises Too Soon to Tell

- Valium Working / Worked
- Worked for a small time span. Then it just made me want to sleep.
- Xanax Working / Worked
- This use to work for me however, it made me cranky. So I switched to Ativan.
Open Adoption
I had a hysterectomy at the age of 20 (3 years ago now). My husband and I are finally in the situation that we are ready to start gathering the information needed to make a decision about what form of adoption to go with.
Open Sarcoidosis
I was diagnosed with sarcoidosis last June (2007). I am just now finding a support group for this disease. I would love to see how other deal with this as well.
Open Hysterectomy
I had my hysterectomy in March of 2005. I was only 20 years old. I am now in my 3rd year anniversary. I would love to help out other women like myself, and gain support as well.
Treatments
- Premarin Working / Worked
- I have been on premarin since my hysterectomy in 2005. It seems to work just fine. I still have side effects, but I am sure that would happen either way.
Open Interstitial Cystitis (IC)
I was diagnosed with IC shortly after my partial hysterectomy (before the completion). I have had a very hard time with this condition. It effects every part of my life. Becuase of this condition, I can not eat A LOT of foods. So, i have to maintain a strict diet.
Treatments
- Bladder Distention Working / Worked
- This really helped but just like the Instillation, it was a short term solution.
- Bladder Instillation Working / Worked
- It worked for a short time, then the pain and frequency returned.
Open Gastritis
I just got diagnosed with Gastritis almost a year ago. I am still trying to understand the condition and how to manage it. I am also on a handful of other medications for other diseases. (My immune system is almost no existant.) But, I am looking to again knowledge and support.
