Close Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)
Dx PCOS June 2007 HSG: Right tube blocked FSH: 8.1 LH: 11.7 TTC since July 2006 Trying to restart metformin and work up to 2000mg

- Oral Contraceptives Somewhat Helpful
- ortho tricyclene somewhat helpful in making acne not as bad. Made period very light.
- Progesterone Cream Working / Worked
- I felt that when I was using the cream my pms symptoms werent as bad
- Vitex Too Soon to Tell
- Decided to try vitex while waiting to decide if i want clomid
Close Infertility
Type: Hormonal DisordersDx PCOS June 2007. At 21 it got much worse. I went from 120 to 160lbs, hair on upper lip, nipples, chin, spotted for two months straight, chjolesterol is high, acne, and now I can't get pregnant. I have been off BCPs since Feb 2006 and still not pregnant. I just had a HSG and found out that my right tube is blocked which I already had a feeling about. Dr wants to start me on clomid but I want to just fix my body not make it ovulate stronger because I do ovulate.
Treatments
- Basal Thermometer Working / Worked
- Charts show clear temp shifts and periods have started to regulate. Went from 30-45 days to 28-32
- Folic Acid Too Soon to Tell
- Take 1000mg
- HSG (Hysterosalpingography) Working / Worked
- Right tube blocked left tube was clear
- Metformin Somewhat Helpful
- Helped regulate my period got be back to 28-32 days. But now trying to work up to 2000mg from 500mg
- Ovulation Predictor Kit Working / Worked
- Saw what i thought were positives and temp shift confirms but line was never way darker than control
- Progesterone Cream Somewhat Helpful
- Helped ease PMS
- Vitex Too Soon to Tell
- Taking this now along with black cohish to see if it helps any before clomid
Open HPV
Dx with HPV 1997. I had a LEEP that same year. SInce then I have always had mildly abnormal pap results. Now Im just trying to deal with always having this with me.
Treatments
- Colposcopy Somewhat Helpful
- Helpful in seeing what stage the abnormality is at.
- Liquid Nitrogen Working / Worked
- Removed a wart but wasnt the greatest feeling in the world
Open Migraine Headaches
Ive gotten headaches since 1st grade but just since 2004 have they been full blown migraines. Theyre getting a little better but wish they were gone totally.
Treatments
- Aspirin Somewhat Helpful
- sometimes helpful but I just have to take too much of it to help even a little
- Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Somewhat Helpful
- Try to avoid smoke, and perfume
- Excedrin Working / Worked
- Sometimes this works but maybe its just a headache
- Maxalt Working / Worked
- love Maxalt. But recently its been taking longer to work
- Midrin Not Working
- This stuff made me so sick to my stomach I stopped taking it
- Topamax Working / Worked
- Helps but I think it makes me break out and I notice that my toes tingle while Im on it and my hair sheds faster
- Tylenol Somewhat Helpful
- Just have to take too much to have any impact
- Zomig Somewhat Helpful
- Took migraine away but it makes my chest and shoulders feel tight and then it makes me have an overall malaise about me and I have to take a nap
