my story is that up untill my 2 boys were 16 months of age they had developed normal. they quite saying words and gibber jabbed until 3 1/2 years of age. then they said momma and daddy. had tantrums and usual behaviors. spinning, head banging, darting off from me and father. absolutley no fears, acted as if deaf, although hearing test were normal. had repeditive movements. flapping of the arms and clapping hands. my husband and i rarely go places sometimes we fill like prisoners in our home.

Behavior Management Somewhat Helpful

we try to use time out and rewards with edibles or toys etc.

Concerta Somewhat Helpful

daytrana 10 mg at school it works but wears off after 9 hours and it makes the symptoms worse. lots of tantrums and mood swings, and lose of appetite.

Independent Living Skills Not Working

we have a hard time with tis subject. does not want to brush teeth, comb hair or get dressed most of the time. hair cutting is a nightmare.

Picture / Word Schedules Working / Worked

we used picture and word schedules at school, and at home. they have really helped alot. at home it was not as easy.
