Jeanne, yes, the transplant games have been happening for quite a few years now. They were in Louisville 2 years back and I was living there. A great time, donor families are thanked and you meet people from all over the country. The opening games are like the olympics were all the teams march in carring banners and everyone is cheering, it's just great. People do NOT have to be athletics, but some of them take it very seriously. Me, I just go for the fun, I use to be good at sports but I just am proud to be able to participate. There are 4 of us going, I can't wait. I'm glad your on the treatment, it helped me and I really had no bad side effects except for being tired all the time but that is easy to fix, GO TO BED! Ha I'm praying for you so hang in. read my latest journal about one of the girls in my group. AWESOME.....Love paula

| Hepatitis C |
| After a routine physical in Jan of this year (2008),I was diagnosed with HEP C. This came as a real shock to me as my only real symptoms were headaches and excessive bruising. I believe I acquired the Hep "C" from a blood transfusion in 1985. I got really sick and fatigued about 6-7 weeks after that surgery and was misdiagnosed with Hepatitis "A" back then. Flash forward to 2008, and I am now being diagnosed with Hep C. I tested negative for Hep A antibodies in January, but positive for Hep C. | |
