Shellbelle ( I like you name because that's what I call my daughter), you cannot blame yourself. You have to know that your mom is happy now, and she would want you to be happy too. We think this earth is where we are meant to stay and be happy, but I think when we get to heaven, we're going to say "What was I thinking?" Life on earth was nothing compared to this!" We are all going to be together there, and be happier than we ever were here. I will pray for you to have peace about this.

Shell...My heart aches for you. I am so sorry for all the pain that you are going through. Someone else has already said that guilt is a part of the grieving process. When we loose someone we love, we look for answers and when we don't find them, we blame ourselves. I have lost both parents and a son, and I can tell that guilt will prevent you from healing. Guilt implies that you did something wrong...and you did nothing wrong. You loved your mother and she loved you. I believe that your mother, just like mine, would not want to continue forever in on a respirator. That is not living at all. I used to take care of people who were on respirator...it did all the breathing for them. I don't believe that our mothers would want to go on that way. I know that mine would not. You did not kill your mom..... Hugs...Rean

You did not kill your mom.........it was her time to go and nothing you did or did not do will ever change that. she is in a better place now and you will see her when it is your time to go home.....

Try to let go of your guilt. It is as painful, I'm, as the loss of your Mom.
