We are pleased to announce an invitation by SAMSHA and CMHS to attend the third annual Voice Awards ceremony. The 2008 Voice Awards ceremony will take place at Paramount Studios in Hollywood, CA, on Wednesday, May 28.
The event will be hosted by Joe Pantoliano and will bring together people from the entertainment industry, consumer movement, and advocacy community for a night that celebrates increased awareness of mental health issues and recovery.
The Voice Awards honor writers and producers who incorporate dignified, respectful, and accurate portrayals of individuals with mental health problems into film and television productions.
Sponsored by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, the Voice Awards also acknowledge the tireless efforts of advocates who are working to reduce the stigma and discrimination associated with mental illnesses.
