Blab, blab, blab...smile Mood
Friday, May 2, 2008 | A Positive story

Well hello there folks...

It's scaredrabbit here who is seriously thinking of changing her name to BRAVE RABBIT. Yup, I've volunteered to be a spokes person for Hepatitis Awareness Day on May 19th. I have been telling everybody about my treatment and my illness...that's why I titled this entry Blab blab blab. I don't know what has come over me...I can't stop telling people. My goodness gracious...I've got verbal diarrhea! I don't know if this is bad or good...it feels good right now but it may come back to bite me in the butt. I will take the chance as the gratification from telling people they need to get informed and get tested is so overwhelming! I just may tell somebody who gets checked...finds out they have it... and gets cured!

NOW HOW GOOD WOULD THAT BE.... HEY!

Take care all

Love ya

Big big hugs,

BraveRabbit

Hey Dixie-I am so proud of you. You are going to be one great spokes person for our disease. You are exactly the type of person that will get other people to listen. A regular person, happily married... mother of three lovely daughters. If people can see that Hep C can & does strike people from all walks of life, maybe they will see the need to get tested and to support research dollars for a cure. People need to know there are many ways to acquire Hep C. A lot of people think its only a drug users disease and have many other misconceptions about the disease. You are doing a great thing. Way to go Dixie...what a wonderful example of strenght and community you are showing your girls. Proud of you sister. Hugs Jeannie

I agree with my friend here Jeannie. You are a wonderful representative for us all. I only got mad at the fact, if one doctor would of had the question about blood transfusions, I would of been tested much earler. But no.....I would not say I suffered for 29years, but my potential in life sure could of been alot better with out all the tiredness, and many other symptoms I had that no one connected the dots! So the more people like you can go out and inform ohters, the better it will be. Maybe you can save someone from going so long before detection......I am very proud to know you, and to know you will be representing little ole us!
May God give you peace and strength while speaking. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens us....
    Have a wonderful restful weekend,
    barbara

Now sweet and BRAVE Dixie I would have to agree with my very two special friends csick and 5starr....and you know all the reading Ive done they think theres is gonna be an epedemic of hepc in the very near future. My sister whos a nurse for many years saw that coming too...people who have had it for 15 20 years like most of us now surfacing with damage etc etc. most of us didint even know we had it...Im too tired to do anything now but I will get envolved when I am cured...and I will be cured as well as you sweet three..you are all in y heart and prayers...shot number ten tonight....bring it on..double diget land..every Friday after another full week at work I say PRAISE GOD....

You've always been brave rabbit, you just didn't know it. Good luck with the spokes person gig. You're the one to do it! Love, Skeeter

Luv the new name - fits better than my suggestion of 'Oncewasscaredrabbit' lot shorter anyway (lol).

You go girlfriend ... I can't express in words how very proud I am of you! Especially since just starting tx - amazing - true inspiration to us all.

Your right if you just get one person aware and in tx then that is a life-changing event for all!

    xoxo
