 Hepatitis C
I went and donated blood. What a great feeling I had. Somebody may live because of my donation. Then I got a letter in the mail. You probably have hep c. You should go see your doctor. That is when it all began. I was sad to learn it was true. I'm a geno type 1a. I'm very thankful my husband and children were negative. I found out my little sister has antibodies. She cured it on her own. Don't know if I got it from her or visversa. I hope and pray I can beat this too! I start treatment Apr. 9th.
Treatments
Pegylated Interferon (Too Soon To Tell)
Started April 9th. Felt like I had the flu for first 24 hours. Muscles ached and had the chills real bad. Day 2 was much better with just an anoying litle headache that would pop in and out. Felt pretty week though. Rested a lot but did get myself of the couch to take the dogs for a walk. Had a good 12 hour sleep the second night and now feel almost back to normal. I'm hoping the second shot will be better...maybe I'll take some Tylenol or Advil to reduce the flew like symptoms.
 Ribavarin (Too Soon To Tell)
see the Pegylated Interferon notes.
