I enjoy powerlifting. I have been diagnosed with polymyositis, but I am currently pain free and doing very well. I am living a healthy, active lifestyle with much spiritual enrichment. I must add, that I am VERY happily married for 10 1/2 years, with 3 beautiful children and a wonderful step-son! My husband is my best workout partner and my soul mate...plus...take a look at him!
My family, lifting, working out, my new friends and now...RUNNING...who'd a thunk it!

SORRY I JUST POSTED A LONG COMMENT ON YOUR JOURNAL FROM THURSDAY. HOPE YOUR RUN WENT GREAT! KATHY
hehehe I read what you wrote about over-enthusiastically running into the tread's bar... I knew just what you meant. I get the same way too with a good song!
I'm updating my fitness goal. Over the last 6 mos. I have really kicked it into gear. I have tried new things and I have seen an amazing transformation of my body. Now, i'm fine tuning and still exploring new things. I love fitness and I have a whole new outlook on it. I CAN DO ANYTHING! I am currently trying to condition for a 5k...me! Who'd a thunk it!? I still love to lift and i'm always competing with myself in lifting. I think it only helps with my strength...both physical and mental.
Used to be overweight due to medications. Seriously. Once that was done though, I had to take responsibility for being a fat ass.
Just trying to get healthy again...been working on it faithfully since January. Really hit the gym heavy and consistanly since March.
I have polymyositis and mctd, not neccessarily in that order. I have only in the last 6 weeks or so developed Raynaud's. It sucks!
