Memory of Maria
Please come Meet Maria. Daughtar of Steven Curtis …
I just wanted to stop by and report on the Concert that I went to last evening. It was awe inspiring for me and a real testimony to the truth of how we must live in the hope of Jesus and his Resurrection.
For those who don't know Steven Curtis Chapman is a 5 time grammy winning Christian singer. He and his wife have 6 children, and one , little Maria went home to the Lord on May 21 in a tragic accident, when she was backed over by a car driven by their 17 year old son. It has been a heart breaking time for all in the Christian Community who know and love him and his insprational music and his talent for leading worship.
Many of you have probably heard his song Cinderella, which tells the tale of his daughter growing up. I wondered how he would ever be able to perform it again, and he said he really considered not doing it, but then he thought if his faith meant anything that he had to sing it because Maria is NOT gone...and the dance goes on. When he started to sing Cinderella thousands of fans stood up in the dark of the amphitheater holding glowing flashlights with pink lights, all waving throughout the stadium. It was a holy moment, and atestimony to his faith in God. For anyone who would like to hear Cinderella they just need to go to Steven Curtis Chapman.com and you can hear it for your self. I am sure if you are a parent or even if you plan on being one someday it will touch your heart.
I must say the most important message that I took away from the concert is that we are not promised a trouble free life, infact we are told that in the world we will have trouble, but if we have our hope in Jesus, this very short life of trouble will end with a wonderful life with our Lord for eternity. The other message I came away with is to appreciate every moment we are in, for every moment is a gift from God.
God Bless you all my friends,
Nan

I am glad that you were able to go to this concert and feel all the love there. He is a blessed man to rise above the pain of his loss to share it with others. It shows that even in the roughest of times that Jesus is there for us and his grace and mercy abounds! I wish I could get my sister back to the Lord. She is miserable and sad and scared without her husband now and needs the love of Jesus to comfort her! I wish Steven Curtis Chapman was going to Cleveland, I would pay for her to see him! I am happy for you that you could go and be inspired. A few months ago you wouldn't have been able to even go due to your health. God is good and gracious! His love is amazing! :) Cheryl

I'm so happy you enjoyed the concert. I just went to utube and listened to the Cinderella song. What a beautiful song, I wish every dad could hear this and take it to heart.
I hope you have a good day.

Yepper, Nan, it's EASY to have faith and say you're a Christian during the sunlight and roses but it's the storms of life when there is water in the boat the PROVES you've faith and are a Christian. Love & hugs
