Happy Mother's Day to all the Mother's here at DS!

I first want to say thank you friends for all your concern and support. Goliad, you will be glad to know my Dentist is really Good! He gave me specific information on how to care for the extraction to avoid dry socket, and he gave me 10 days of antibiotics, and the pain pill of my choice. He doesn't over charge and has a little old office made from an old house in downtown Clio. He is probably only 34  but he is running his own practice, his way and doesn't have all the fancy waiting room gizmo's, just a few toys for kids and a TV, really low tech, but clean and neat.

I am trying the PT with again because I want to be sure I have exhausted all areas before I move ahead. Although I really don't like my Rheumatologist, I can see what he is getting at. I DO need to keep moving, you know -move it or lose it! I am too young to let this get the best of me. So I will try harder, push myself as much as I can, and see how far this takes me. He also has a point about the meds, yes I really want some pain relief, but I also don't want to ruin my liver or my kidneys and so many meds are really hard on the body in other ways.  So I am trying to cut back and still be comfortable, and use my other methods as much as possible. Things like heat, hot baths, ice, painrubs ect. If this doesn't work I will at least have PT writing him a report about what happened. But, I am going to give it a serious try.

Today, I was sponsor for my niece's Confirmation down at the Cathedral in Grand Rapids. As the Bishop was talking, he just mentioned the gifts of the Holy Spirit. How could I have forgotten so easily? I need to use one of those gifts so much more....Fortitude! We pray about healing and we pray about release of pain, but I never think to pray for fortitude, for strength to endure with courage and strength of character. So , tonight when I tuck myself in, I will remember to pray for fortitude for that gift of the Holy Spirit that can make all the difference in my life.

May you all have a beautiful week!

Nan

I like it--Fortitude. Not a word used too much. But we do need to have it with this condition! You have more fortitude than anyone I know! Just in how you will pick yourself up and redirect and move forward is inspiring to me! Not that I won't give you a swift kick in the pants when you start faltering! LOL But you are the one who has decide to keep going or give up and as long as I have known you, you choose to keep trying. And not only that, but you encourage others even when you are feeling your worse. That shows your character! It is admiral! Okay, enough -you'll get a big head if I keep going. LOL You know I adore you. I hope you had a wonderful day! Love ya! :) Cheryl

yes, not a word I hear very often. at first, I had to remind myself what it means! isn't it funny how sometimes a simple concept can escape us, and then, all of a sudden we wake up to it and say "darn, I couldda had fortitude, like I couldda had a V8! LOL

happy early birthday my near twin. xoxo

I'm praying for you, too, dear and happy mother's day to you as well. :) I celebrate that day, simply because of the miscarriage I had....it may seem stupid to some, but to me, that child was as real as if it had lived to term...

You always amaze me and no, you have never been one to sit back and let your pain rule you from what I have seen! Sometimes I get tired just reading what all you accomplish in one day and with all that pain too. Hoping this is a better week for you. Take good care, Sharon
