hi, there was a special on mystery diagnosis on cable and they did a story of a baby who had it and i have also read of a four year old. are you on tegretol? or something like that? start researching everything you can on internet to try and help yourself. there are lots things you can do to try and keep it calm and lots of meds to try and get the pain under control. make sure you have a doctor you like. also make sure he has experienced treating others with it so he has lots of ideas to help you. a bigger hospital will have neurologists with more experience with this painful condition. i am at year four and doing so much better then in the beginning. so keep pounding away until you get some relief. jady

Do you have a bite guard to sleep with at night? Make sure you do not eat anything super chewy or hard which will aggravate the TN. Try to switch to a soft diet & you will really calm it down. Any pressure with your teeth or jaw makes it worse. It is the only way that I can control mine. It took me years to make the teeth - pain connection and I am giving it to you today in case you didn't know. Because as a teen you could be eating some really fun chewy candy that could be putting you in PAIN!!! Even regular chewing sets me over the edge. And you are not biting your nails are you? Or using your teeth as bag openers? (I did!!!). It all contributes... I hope this is helpful because it is saturday morning and I haven 't had my coffee yet. You will be in my thoughts and prayers my dear. I have had headaches every day for 45 years due to many reasons so I feeeeellllll for everyone here. This is a HUGE HUG!!!

Lovely flowers for a lovely young lady. Hi darlin! I'm so sorry to hear that you suffer at such a young age. They told me I started with this young, but I sure wasn't as young as you. If you have any questions or just need someone to talk to, Mike's right, I'm just about always here. Only take a break when the open road beckons and I take off on a motorcycle ride. In fact, I've got a 5 day ride coming up starting Thursday morning. :) Love, Peace and Hugs............

Hi J, I am so sorry to hear a young lady has to deal with this condition. The pain levels are to much to handle at times. I wish I knew some young people you could relate to. There is one member I know of but I do not know her only of her. Her screne name is langhyde. She is 21. I just answered a question in the discussions section for TN. There are many great people here. Sunflur is always around and she would take you under her wing. Wish you the best. Mike-I am here too!!!!!!!!!!!!!
